Arts & Business Cymru | Salary & hours to be negotiated | Cardiff
A&B Cymru is seeking an experienced fundraiser to help the charity achieve a self-sustaining model of operation. Working closely with the Chief Executive, the Director will be responsible for securing high level income from a variety of private and public sector sources.
The successful candidate will be creative, dynamic, proactive and efficient. The role requires highly developed influencing skills and a proven track record in income generation.
We are a charity with an influence and responsibility much richer than its small size, A&B Cymru is at a pivotal point in its development. This is a truly exciting opportunity to make a difference to our organisation and to our work across Wales.
Since becoming an independent Welsh charity in November 2011, A&B Cymru has reduced its reliance on public sector funding from 66% of turnover to just 17%. This has been achieved thanks to the valued partnerships established with a range of private sector stakeholders. The Development Director will grow these relationships even further and forge new alliances to help ensure our future success. A&B Cymru’s core funding from Arts Council of Wales of £70K per annum comes to an end in March 2019. The charity must be a self-sustaining operation by that time.
