Kevin Spacey arts charity closes

The charity set up by actor Kevin Spacey has shut down following the allegations of sexual harassment.

The Kevin Spacey foundation helped identify young artists and provide them with training and resources as they developed careers.

But the trustees of the foundation have said the work of the foundation "is no longer viable."

In a statement issued on their website, they said the Foundation will be closing on the 28 February 2018.

It added, “The Trustees would like to thank all their partners, artists and organisations for the great work that has been done in association with the Foundation. The Trustees hope that the objects of the charity will be taken forward by other organisations.”

Spacey served as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre for 11 years and during that time he set up the Foundation.
