Fatoş Üstek next Liverpool Biennial director
The new director of the Liverpool Biennial is to be the Turkish-born curator and writer Fatoş Üstek.
She takes up the post in May in succession to Sally Tallent, now director of the Queen’s Museum in New York.
Üstek, 38, has already developed an international reputation as a curator and is currently director of the David Roberts Art Foundation.
The Biennial was founded by the A Foundation in 1998 and since then has commissioned over 340 new artworks and presented work by more than 480 artists.Üstek will be in charge for the next Biennial which runs from July 11 to October 25, 2020.
