Dundee staff cuts on the cards

Dundee’s arts centre is set to make staff redundant in a bid to cut costs.

Employees at the city’s Contemporary Arts Centre were told that posts would be lost in a review of staffing structure.

A DCA spokeswoman blamed the changes on a rising wage bill and an increasingly competitive funding environment.

“Following careful consideration a proposed set of changes has been announced which includes some difficult decisions but which we hope will leave us with two more posts in the organisation than we had before.

Consultation on the changes would take place over the next few weeks, said the spokesman.
