Kate Brindley moves on
Kate Brindley is to leave the Arnolfini at Bristol where she has been chief executive for three years to take on a new post at Chatsworth House.
"Leading Arnolfini's transformation and reinvention during such challenging times has been a privilege” Brindley said. “Contributing to the historic and contemporary relevance of Arnolfini and the city of Bristol, nationally and internationally has been immensely inspiring and rewarding". She was previously director of mima, the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art.
Brindley is to become director of collections and exhibitions, an expanded new role, at the Chatsworth Settlement Trust, encompassing the art not only at Chatsworth House, the home of the Dukes of Devonshire in Derbyshire where she will be based, but at other properties in the Devonshire group including Lismore Castle in Ireland and Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire.
