Spare Coliseum seats for kids’ portraits
More than 700 photographic self-portraits of 11-year-old school pupils have gone on display at English National Opera’s Coliseum auditorium.
I am Here was devised by ENO’s learning and participation department, Baylis, in which year 7 pupils from seven schools in Liverpool and London took part, and their images will be seen on the seats of the closed auditorium during a live performance of Mozart’s Requiem being televised from the theatre on BBC 2 on November 14 at 7pm.
The digital images were created in lesson plans devised by visual artist Chris Webb and delivered by teachers in the seven schools.
