Sculpture plan for historic Hampshire

Eastleigh, the Hampshire town set in the picturesque Hamble Valley, is calling for artists’ bids to be part of a major public art project.

Eastleigh Borough Council is inviting tenders for an overarching scheme for the historic local area, Bursledon, Hamble and Hound (follow link for details).

The commission, worth a total of £74,500 and funded from section 106 planning gain, will include a wayfinding trail with a series of site specific public art as the first phase, with further phases being added as more funds become available.

Closing date for submissions is Friday, August 13.
