ACE pledges £24m more for capital investment

Arts Council England is giving £24.2m to improve cultural infrastructure in 67 organisations, it has announced today.

The grants of between £100,000 and £750,000 are in the second round of ACE’s Capital Investment Programme launched in 2022 with a £22.7m investment.

The money is to be used for equipment, to improve access and capitalise on technological opportunities. Organisations benefitting include the Portland Inn Project in Stoke-on-Trent, the Postal Museum in London, the Gateway Studio in Gateshead and the Bridgwater Carnival in Somerset.

“It’s particularly important that we’re making this happen in communities where cultural investment has historically been low” said Darren Henley, ACE’s CEO.
